8 Months!

Amery is 8 months old today! We had a fun and busy holiday weekend. Lots of time spent playing at home as well as time spent BBQing and swimming with friends on Memorial Day. Amery broke in his new swimsuit at his first trip to the pool. Here are some picutres from this weekend. There was so much to see at the pool that he couldn't be bothered to look at the camera. Sorry for the lack of captions, I don't have a lot of time this morning but wanted to get the pictures up for everyone to see.

We had breakfast at Jim's yesterday morning while waiting for my car to get fixed. Amery had his first pancake. He's a fan.



He finished it off with a big cup of coffee. Hey, you gotta start the morning right.

And yeah, the bowl is pink. Cut me some slack - I went to two different stores and they were both out of the boy colors. We really needed some bowls.

Go Long!

A few weeks ago, I showed up at daycare to find Amery dressed in a new onesie that Jon picked up for him that day. He was sneaky. He dropped it off at lunch and asked the daycare ladies to put it on him before I picked him up for the day. The onesie is made by a local company called Bambino Balls. You can get pretty much any "ball" you like. (Sorry Nichole and Cristy, I don't see rugby).

It's not often, but every once in a while we don't even make it up the stairs before he's down for the count.

Catching Up

My mom has been in town for two weeks and it's been wonderful. She is a ton of help and Amery loves hanging out with Grandma. She bought him his first swimsuit:


We finally settled on the Sea Turtle suit from Gymboree. The pants are a little big yet, but they should be perfect by the time he's ready to hit the pool.



After two weeks we finally took a picture with Grandma.
